Airline requirementsAirline requirements
United States Federal Aviation regulations require every passenger to present government-issued photo identification, which may include a U.S. State Driver's License or a Passport. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) allows passengers to carry with 3oz bottles of liquids in a single clear plastic ziptop bag.
Most airlines charge a fee for checked baggage. Avoid this fee by bringing only what you need on tour in a carry-on bag. Your carry-on bag cannot exceed these size limitations: 12" x 12" x 5". We recommend a backpack, small shoulder bag or purse. Anything bigger will hinder the tour experience, please follow these guidelines.
Airlines typically require you to arrive at the airport one hour before departure. Our inter-island tour departure times reflect the plane's actual departure time, you must arrive ahead of this time. Again, arrive at least one hour before your stated departure time.
To obtain you boarding pass, present your ID to the airline ticketing agent at the airport. If you're on Oahu, we typically print the boarding passes for you ahead of time. All details are included once you book your tour, we advise you to read over all travel details we provide to confirm you tour agenda.
For a complete list of airline security guidelines, please visit the TSA website.
Pearl Harbor restrictions
Because Pearl Harbor is an active military base, a number of restrictions are observed at Pearl Harbor.
Bags, including purses, camera bags and backpacks, are not allowed into the Pearl Harbor Visitor's Center and associated exhibits. Visitors can check their bag(s) for a small fee, typically $3.00. Do not leave your items on the tour bus. Hawaii Inter-Island Tours and its affiliated partners are not responsible for the loss of any items during your tour.
Beverages of any kind are not allowed into the Pearl Harbor Visitor's Center. Refreshments, restroom facilities and food are available for purchase inside the visitor's center.
Cameras are allowed, but lenses must not exceed past 6 inches. No camera bags are allowed.
Wheelchair access is available at all tour sites including Pearl Harbor. However, access at the USS Bowfin Submarine and USS Missouri Battleship is limited due to tight corridors.
